Hard water leaves a white crust on everything it touches. We take it off the way it went on, a little at a time, with the pool full and the surface untouched.

Calcium off anything it sticks to.

- Waterline tile
- Pebble and aggregate finishes
- Plaster and quartz
- Rock waterfalls and boulders
- Spillways and raised walls
- Glass and mosaic tile
- Steps, benches and ledges
- Fountains and bowls
How it works
How calcium comes off
Four steps, pool full, usually in a morning.
-
Look at the buildup
Carbonate or silicate, tile or pebble, how thick. That sets the media and the pressure.
-
Bead blast it
A controlled stream of soft media lifts the scale off. The surface underneath is not touched.
-
Detail by hand
Corners, grout lines, spillway edges and anything the blast cannot reach gets finished by hand.
-
Walk it with you
You see every surface before we pack up, with a word on keeping it off longer.

No. Bead blasting is done with the pool full. We work from the deck, and the media is captured as we go rather than ending up in the water.
No. The media is softer than the surface and the pressure is set for it. It lifts the calcium off; it does not etch the tile or the finish the way acid does.
Valley water comes out of the tap hard, and every gallon that evaporates leaves its minerals behind. High calcium hardness, high pH and summer evaporation together put the line on the tile.
Two to four hours for a waterline. Pebble, rock features and heavy buildup take longer.
Phoenix water is hard, so it always returns. Most pools look good for a year or two. Keeping calcium hardness and pH in range slows it down, and we will tell you where yours sits.
It is priced by the length of the waterline or the size of the surface and how heavy the buildup is, quoted before we come out. Combining it with a leak check on the same visit saves a trip charge.
